Many years ago, we helped The Discovery Orchestra redesign their identity, to match their vibrant mission to teach listening skills that help people really connect with classical music. In 2019, we embarked on a nearly-year-long project to completely update their website to align with their new strategic direction: to be a worldwide online platform full of content that will reach even more people.

Our approach centered on the viewer, first and foremost. With so much great content, the experience can get overwhelming. So, we combed the internet for ideas and got inspired by platforms like Ted.com and YouTube. We decided to keep our eye on direct, simple design throughout the whole process.

To go with a clear and easy-to-navigate front-end design, we also helped consolidate and update all of the databased content from their old site to new. Simplifying the content into key categories made the most of the WordPress platform that our collaborating partner Spacious used to build the site.

The new site was launched in December, 2019 and we are excited to see how their reach will grow with this new approach.

Congrats on this, it’s beautiful!  Interactive, inviting, and elegantly put together.
