“How We Fish” Mural Commission 2011/2012

In 2011, Social Impact paired up with muralist Eric Okdeh on a Mural Arts Philadelphia commission called “How We Fish.”

How We Fish was a city-wide mural project that engaged stakeholders from the public and private sectors, workers, business leaders, and providers of workforce development services in a series of conversations about the value and meaning of work and the challenges this issue presents today. The mural’s title refers to the proverb: “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.”
